BioIn the springtime, Beckies can be found outdoors, frolicking to and fro along the edges of forests and inspecting each newly-blossomed flower while humming sweet, cheerful tunes. When summer comes, they throw on their swimsuits and rush to the closest pond, jumping in with all the enthusiasm that can be found in a youth. As the leaves begin to float down from the trees surrounding their homes, Beckies sit indoors and write poetry describing each aspect of the past, present, and future. Then, suddenly the ice appears.... everything that once lived is dead, and animals scurry to find warmth from any source at all. Beckies cuddle their kittens tight, turn up the furnace and settle in for three dismal months of hibernation.
